Humana Expands Medicare Advantage Offerings with Enhanced Benefits and Nationwide Reach

This comes ahead of the Medicare Advantage Annual Election Period, running from October 15 to December 7, giving beneficiaries a chance to choose from a broader range of personalized plans. A key highlight is the Humana Full Access PPO plan, which allows members to visit any Medicare-approved doctor with consistent copayments, regardless of network status, and without requiring referrals. Additionally, the $0 LPPO MAPD Giveback plans, available in 35 states, offer a reduction in members’ monthly Part B premiums. These options cater to beneficiaries seeking both flexibility in provider choice and financial relief.

Humana has also introduced new benefits based on member feedback, including annual vision coverage and expanded dental services in nearly every county. Prescription drug coverage improvements, such as a $2,000 out-of-pocket cap and the elimination of the coverage gap in 2025, will further enhance affordability. These changes align with the provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, ensuring comprehensive and cost-effective care.

Beyond traditional healthcare, Humana is incorporating innovative services like music therapy for members with chronic conditions, part of its Institutional Special Needs Plans (I-SNPs) offered in 13 states. This initiative aims to improve patient engagement and emotional well-being. The company’s nationwide coverage now extends across 48 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, encompassing 89% of U.S. counties.

To support its expansive reach, Humana leverages its CenterWell Pharmacy for home delivery of prescriptions, enhancing convenience and care continuity.
