Tesla increases wages in Germany following pressure from unions — EnergyWatch


American electric car manufacturer Tesla has announced a salary boost and a bonus for its 11,000 German employees.

Reuters reports this with reference to a story from the Wall Street Journal.

German trade unions have previously targeted Tesla because they believe that the employees are paid 20% below the average in collective agreements in the industry. Collective agreements that Tesla is not part of.

According to the American business newspaper, Tesla announced last week that German employees will receive a 4% pay increase from November, according to anonymous sources.

In addition, Tesla will pay a bonus of 1500 euros in December to help with high inflation, and finally, the company will increase annual salaries by 2500 euros from February.
